Results from Round 1 of Lakapi Championship 2022 yesterday Wednesday 13th July at Apia Park Stadium.
In match 1 – Manono and Upolu drew 34 all in an exciting match where Manono led 34-13 in the second half, but Upolu came back with 21 unanswered points to level the scores in the final stanza of the game.
Match 2 – Apolima defeated Savaii 27-10 in a tough contest which by half time the score was 5-3 to Apolima who were not helped by losing their halfback for the rest of the game to a red card offense, but Apolima kept their composure to grind out a hard fought victory over a young Savaii team.
